Australian Salesian Missions Overseas Aid Fund

The mission of ASMOAF (Australian Salesian Missions Overseas Aid Fund) is to support aid and development programmes conducted by the Salesians in developing countries.

Most ASMOAF projects are directly targeted at young people and many have an educational focus. The goal is to optimise the potential of young people to learn the knowledge, skills and attitudes to enable them to find employment and become self-sufficient, contributing members of their nation.

ASMOAF is officially registered in Australia as an overseas aid organisation, and operates under the aegis of the Salesian Society Inc. Donations to ASMOAF for development projects are tax-deductible under Australian Taxation Law. Donations for political or religious purposes do not qualify for tax-deductibility. Donations to Don Bosco Samoa are processed through ASMOAF for taxation purposes.

The Provincial Council of the Salesian Society in Australia is the Governing Board of ASMOAF and is responsible for the administration of ASMOAF.
