Poetry, Plays and Passion
on Display at Don Bosco English Day

Speeches, animated poetry and one-act plays were amongst the items presented by students at Don Bosco High School and Vocational Centre during their annual "English Day" which was held today.

Today was finals day.  Students in each house had previously competed amongst themselves for the right to represent their house.  First up was prepared speeches on the topic of "Education", followed by one-act plays involving all students in each house and group poetry recitations accompanied by corresponding movement and actions.  The three guest judges, the Director of Catholic Education, the Principal of Paul VI College and the Principal of Don Bosco Alafua, were all amazed at the passion of the students for the task at hand.  The level of support by students for members of their house was fabulous.

Principal, Fr Mosese Tui, said he was very proud of his students and the progress they have made in three years. "This is our best English Day yet," he told the audience of parents, family and friends of Don Bosco High School. "Many people have commented on how the students have improved since last year, and that is certainly the case thanks to their hard work and the dedication and guidance of their teachers."
